Simeon Nakovski is the new World Kickboxing Nations (WKN) world champion at super featherweight, up to 62.2 kg. At EFA 2 at ASICS Arena the Bulgarian beat Italy's Angelo Fiamingo by technical knockout in the third round. Boec.bg followed the bout round by round.
Nakovski took the initiative from the opening bell. He came forward with punching combinations and pressed his opponent, then began mixing his boxing attacks with low kicks and front kicks. Fiamingo chose a more patient approach and looked for chances to counter.
The second round was more even in pace, but the Bulgarian was again the busier of the two and kept dictating the course of the fight.
The finish came in the third. Nakovski dropped Fiamingo with a right hook. The Italian got back up, but the Bulgarian went straight back on the attack and put him down twice more. After the third knockdown the referee stopped the fight and Nakovski was announced as the new world champion.
The WKN belt fight was one of two title bouts at EFA 2, alongside the night's main event for the EFA title.
