Kaloyan Georgiev brings ASICS Arena to its feet with a flying knee

Kaloyan Georgiev needed only seconds to settle his main-card bout at EFA 2. The young fighter beat Mauri Smit by knockout in the first round, Sportal.bg reported.
Georgiev, who trains under Teodora and Mario Kirilovi, attacked straight away. He came in with a punching combination and finished it with a flying knee that landed flush on the Dutchman's chin. Smit collapsed to the canvas unconscious.
The reaction in the stands was instant. The crowd at ASICS Arena jumped to its feet, gave the 17-year-old a loud ovation and began chanting his name.
For Georgiev it is a third win in three professional fights. He also repeated what he did at the first edition of EFA, where he likewise knocked out his opponent in the opening round.
