A day before the second Elite Fighting Arena gala, the press conference and official weigh-in took place in Sofia. According to Boec.bg, the weigh-in went off smoothly. The event brought together members of the organisation and some of the fighters from the main bouts.
Most of the attention was on Martin Koprivlenski, who will make his debut at up to 83.9 kg. In the main event of EFA 2 he faces Ilyas Chakir. Koprivlenski said that in the new division he expects to look for heavier shots and more knockouts.
The main support bout is also drawing interest. Experienced Turkish Muay Thai fighter Erdem Dincer makes his EFA debut against Aleksandar Hristov, a Bulgarian MMA fighter who accepted the fight just a week before the gala.
Also stepping into the ring at ASICS Arena are the winner from the first edition of EFA, Dmitro Vlasuk, and established kickboxers Diyan Dimitrov, Konstantin Stoikov, Kaloyan Georgiev and Mitko Iliev.
Simeon Nakovski's fight for the WKN world title against Italy's Angelo Fiamingo deserves special attention. Nakovski, who is preparing under Vladimir Valev, sent a clear message to his opponent: "I will hit him harder than he has ever been hit."
The second Elite Fighting Arena gala takes place on 3 October at ASICS Arena in Sofia.
