Kickboxing and Muay Thai fans will see 18 bouts in total at EFA 2 on 3 October at ASICS Arena in Sofia. The programme starts at 17:00, and two title fights will be among the highlights of the night, Boec.bg writes.
WKN European champion Simeon Nakovski, a 35-year-old fighter from Pleven, goes into the bout on a seven-fight winning streak. He will face Italy's Angelo Fiamingo in a five-round fight for the WKN world title at 62.2 kg. "I am ready for the fight," Nakovski said. In his view, the Italian is in no hurry to trade, but he has also studied him and may change something in his approach.
The main event is for the EFA belt at 83.9 kg. Burgas native Martin Koprivlenski, who won the EFA 77 kg belt in March, will face Morocco's Ilyas Chakir over five rounds. "Chakir is an awkward opponent who has fought in big organisations," Koprivlenski said.
Elsewhere on the main card, amateur world champion Diyan Dimitrov, the Diamond of Dobrich, meets Anouar Chakir at 67 kg, and Varna's Konstantin Stoikov takes on Ukraine's Tymur Brykov. Kaloyan Georgiev, just 17, will face his first foreign opponent as a professional, Mauri Smit.
Alexander Ribnikov returns to professional kickboxing after a long break. He faces a tough task against Ukraine's Stanislav Kazantsev, a Glory fighter who comes from the famous Mike's Gym in Amsterdam. The meeting between Samir Nezla and Mitko Iliev also draws interest.
The main card has 11 bouts, preceded by seven prelim fights. Also on the main card are Dmitro Vlasuk vs João Silva and Silviu Vitez vs Riccardo Cristiani under Muay Thai rules with 4 oz gloves, as well as Daria Kirilova vs Stanimira Castillo at 33 kg.
